Adult consultations
Psychological consultation is a meeting between the client and a psychologist, in the form of an interview, aimed at selecting the best form of assistance.
Consultations are intended for adults who:
-
encounter difficulties, experience suffering, or have important questions in various areas of their lives
-
are considering participation in individual psychotherapy, couple psychotherapy, or group therapy
-
have no prior experience with psychotherapy and want to find the best solution to their problems
When to seek consultation?
Generally, people turn to psychologists and psychotherapists when they experience psychological pain that interferes with their daily life. Seeking psychological help is a personal decision. Each person senses when it's time to ask for professional assistance.

The first consultation
During this initial meeting, you will have the opportunity to discuss with the psychologist what concerns you. You can ask all your questions. Together, we assess whether it's possible to address them and how. This allows the psychologist to indicate how they can best help you. It also enables you to get to know the psychologist and determine if their working style suits you. At the end of this first session, if you wish, you will schedule the next appointment with the psychologist. Together, we establish the framework, format, and frequency of the sessions.
The psychological consultation process can take one to three sessions.
Each session lasts 50 minutes
